1205 MIF-inhibition ameliorates vitiligo by suppressing CD8+T cell activation and proliferation

In vitiligo, autoreactive CD8+T cell is established as the main culprit considering their pathogenic role in mediating epidermal melanocyte-specific destruction. Macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) a pleiotropic molecular that plays central various immune processes including activation and proliferation of T cells. But whether MIF intertwined vitiligo development progression its implication aberrantly activated cells remain ill-defined. study, we found was overabundant patients mouse model for human vitiligo. Additionally, inhibiting might ameliorate disease mice, which manifested less infiltration more retention melanocytes tail skin. More importantly, vitro experiments indicated MIF-inhibition suppressed from lymph nodes effect extended to peripheral blood mononuclear patients.
